Provided a customized talent solution for a major automotive company
- To address this, Design and Technical Solutions (Innova) proposed a multi-stage integration plan that would fully staff each lab within the PDC by employing contract workers based on the Scope of Work (SoW). A program manager would oversee this initiative, enabling the achievement of lab-specific goals and leveraging unique skill sets within Innova.
- Currently, Innova has employees in seven out of the ten labs at the PDC (see below) as well as the machine shop where we prepare items for analysis. Each lab possesses its own distinct culture, and by collaborating with lab leads, the Innova team has successfully recruited experienced and trainable engineers, technicians, and project managers who contribute to fulfilling the labs’ objectives. Since the summer of 2021, Innova’s recruiting efforts have yielded positive results, with fourteen employees transitioning to become full-time employees with the client.
- In 2021, Innova also took on the responsibility of promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) hiring, as part of a broader initiative to enhance not only Innova but also the client through fresh perspectives and diverse PDC lab teams. Since then, Innova has made significant strides in DEI hiring, with 25% of their current workforce comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds.
