ACS Solutions’ Virtual Hackathon Drives Innovation on Crisis Management in a Post-Pandemic Era

Innova Solutions’ annual hackathon event – GeekReboot – is a platform for innovation for curious and experimental thinkers who are always deconstructing and rebuilding systems. Each year our participants explore concepts, learn new skills, and build minimum viable solutions that can add value to how we work and the businesses we serve.
GeekReboot 2020 was held virtually due to concerns about the spread of COVID-19. Working remotely, over 60 teams of Innova Solutions employees and campus hires came together throughout the month of June to create digital solutions around the core theme – How technology can help with crisis management – preventive and damage control.
Subtracks for open for the participants were:
- Remote working/virtual collaboration
- Pandemic – safety-first world, improving trust using technology
- Remote services accessibility – telehealth, finance, education, consumer, retail, etc.
- Innovation – IoT, virtual assistants, mobile, AI/ML
Participants submitted their final working prototypes, short demo videos and presented their entries to the judges virtually. Entries were judged on originality, impact/usefulness, feasibility, technical difficulty, and scalability.
